Lil Wayne has enlisted one of the people he put on the map for his new song “Believe Me,” the first single off his upcoming and supposedly last solo album Tha Carter V.
Drake who was a little distant from his Young Money crew in the past year is back where it all started, working with Wayne to make beautiful music.
“Believe Me,” that was produced by Boi-1da and Vinylz is about reminding hip hop heads that YMCMB has dominated the game in the last few years and is intent in keeping things flowing the same way.
Critics will argue that the beat is a tad boring and that Wayne is not as cutting edge as he once was but they will miss the main point of Tha Carter V.
It belongs to another era, Tha Carter series influenced a great deal what is being done today.
Always give respect where it is due, Lil Wayne is a legend.
